Timex Women’s T5K027 Ironman Sleek Digital Running Watch

Now for some useless (that’s negotiable) thoughts and opinions about Timex. Timex has been a stable in the watch industry since, well, 1854… a long time. So you know they’re watches are going to at least have some history of quality to them. As with all and important features of the Timex is the back-light Indiglo system. Timex liked this back-lighting system so much they purchased the company.

Personally I have used Timex Ironman watches for many years; so has my wife. We love them, especially when traveling as they hold up well and features like; many alarms, H20 resistance, timers – interval – stopwatch, etc. You can’t go wrong really with the price for these rugged little watches. Although one thing my wife did notice was this new model, the slim model with resin strap, is it doesn’t seem to be as long-lasting as the old band. With that said, it appears that people still prefer it as the resin strap is extremely comfortable. I know my wife really loves the pink nice look to this watch. Timex does a good job with this watch keeping it rugged yet stylish and feminine at the same time.d

Overall specifications or info: Movement is Quartz… of course, what else? According to the product sheet the crystal is “strong mineral” which is suppose to protect the dial from getting scratched. Of course they all say they’re scratch resistant. But hey, it sure looks rugged! The diameter is 34 mm so it’s pretty small. I must confess, I’m a male and have worn my wife’s Timex Woman’s T5K027 before since I have a small wrist. My wife got Timex Ironman Sleek from Marshall’s I believe… anyway, I wear it running every once in a while as opposed to taking my iPhone or other digital running watch. This watch is supposed to be water-resistant to 100 M or 330 feet. I mean seriously, who is going to take this watch to 330 feet? Even technical/rec SCUBA divers rarely go that deep. My wife and I are recreational SCUBA divers and the deepest we’ve ever gone was just under 100 Feet. Unfortunately she didn’t have this Timex Women’s Ironman watch with her that day. Although it’s supposed to be water resistant, many people have reported trouble with their watch after swimming or getting it wet, while others have had no trouble at all. Our only advice is to make sure you check it out in the water before the warranty is up. Which according to this watch is for a period of up to one year, surely you can get it in the water before then. But mind you, that Timex warranty does not cover the crystal, battery, band, or strap. Which basically means if the hands stop moving. The warranty also states that Timex (not the company or store where you bought the running watch) will replace-with a suitable replacement-or fix the watch but you have to provide a “$7.00 check or money order to cover costs of postage, handling, and service, and you provide proof of purchase and date of purchase.”

The pink (stationary) resin bezel gives this watch a nice sleek look and keeps it from getting snagged on a lot of things when working out or ripping off your workout clothes. Default display is time-day-date-month. The normal four buttons found on most of these Timex pieces are set/recall, Indiglo, stop/reset, and mode functions. The best part is the easy to see and hit start/start and reset button that is set on the front and angled just a little to make it easy to hit while on the move.

All-in-all, I think most people are happy with the Timex Women’s T5K027 Ironman Sleek Digital Running watch. I mean come on, its durable, fairly stylish, and under 50 bones; what else could you want?
